February 18, 2009 - PLCopen is proud to announce that it awarded in China the second certificate ‘PLCopen Certified Training Institute’ to the Shanghai Institute of Process Automation Instrumentation.
The Shanghai Institute of Process Automation Instrumentation (SIPAI) is well-known for its achievements in the field of process automation. Since its founding in 1956, SIPAI has been exclusively dedicated to the research, development, manufacture, testing and application of process instrumentation. As a leading fundamental and comprehensive institute of China’s instrumentation industry, it offers a wide range of solutions such as the design of process control systems.
Honoured with the title of “Hi-Tech Enterprise of Shanghai” SIPAI got ISO9001:2000 certified.
At present there are 230 engineers within SIPAI of which more than 80 are dedicated to system integration, familiar with the IEC 61131 national standard.
There is a group of experts in SIPAI dedicated to the international, national or industrial standardization work. Among them, 12 experts participated in the activities for developing and promoting international industrial standards, like Professor Peng Yu, the Chairman of PLCopen China.
This training course was developed by Mrs. Xiaofeng Zhu, Senior Engineer of the Shanghai Institute of Process Automation Instrumentation.
The certification is provided for the course IEC 61131-3 Concepts and Languages.
