February 3, 2009 - Specially targeted for use in the Food & Beverage Industries, E2EH inductive proximity sensors in a food-grade 316L stainless steel housing provide reliable metal object or machine part detection in demanding environments. The sensor to withstands high-temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius and resist corrosion from detergents and disinfectants used in the Food Industry. Its performance has been tested and certified by EcoLab.
The E2EH sensor offers increased sensing range (up to 12mm) that also helps avoid collision damage with passing objects. In addition to the 316L stainless steel housing, the sensor uses a rugged PBT sensing surface and heat-resistant PVC cable that meet the requirements of Food & Beverage Industries.
The E2EH sensors successfully perform in Food Material Handling Processes, Clean-in-Place (CIP) Cleaning Pipe Changer found in dairy applications, Bottling Machines, Filling Machines, Bakery Ovens and many other applications that require wide temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees Celsius.
With compliance to IP67 and IP69K, these sensors are water-resistant under high-temperature to 120 degrees Celsius verified to 1,000 hours, and high-pressure cleaning with 8,000 to 10,000 kPa pressure and 80 degrees Celsius water temperature for 30 seconds at all angles (based on DIN 40050-9). The E2EH also complies with international standards, including CE, RoHS and EcoLab certified.
E2EH is available in standard M12, M18 and M30 sizes, in DC 2-wire models with or without polarity and DC 3-wire models with PNP output. Choose versions pre-wired with 2-meter cable or M12 connector.
Omron offers a range of detergent resistant stainless steel photo sensors and fiber optic sensors to provide a range of solutions for food and beverage processing and packaging.
