Nodes on self-organizing network can be up to one-half mile apart
Chanhassen, Minn (October 29, 2008) – Emerson Process Management announces the expansion of its Smart Wireless solutions with the release of the Extended Range Antenna, available on Rosemount® 3051S, 648, and 702 transmitters with WirelessHART output. Oil and gas industry users and others operate facilities where measurement points are separated by long distances, making wiring and powering of measurement points expensive. As a result, users are not able to monitor the performance of these points. The extended range antenna option provides a cost-effective way to access this information by increasing the distance between self-organizing points up to a half mile (2600 ft).
Fully compatible with any WirelessHART network, the Extended Range Antenna provides the same rich HART diagnostic data, 7-15 year SmartPower™ Power Module life, and reliable and secure performance as other devices in the Smart Wireless family.
