Beijing, May 5, 2008 -- Rockwell Automation, a leading global provider of industrial automation power, control and information solutions, marks its 20 Years with a series of events held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing. This event consists of ‘Rockwell Automation’s Complete Automation on The Move’ exposition, ‘The Path to Plant-Wide Automation forum’ and ‘Celebrating 20 Years in China’ event in the evening. Senior executives from Rockwell Automation, global manufacturing leaders, industry experts, strategic decision makers and various media outlets attended the event.
Tom O’Reilly, Managing Director and Chairman of Rockwell Automation (China) Ltd, states at the opening ceremony of Complete Automation on The Move, that 20 years ago China started its economic reforms, and as world leading automation products and solution provider, Rockwell Automation entered into China market. In past 2 decades, we have been dedicated to help manufacturers succeed and grow by listening customer needs, applying the best automation knowledge, and solving customers' problems with the best industrial control and information solutions. We always believe that ‘You Win, We win’. Until now, we have established sound and tight relationships with Chinese enterprises, end users, channels partners, encompass partners, universities, design institutes, OEMs and suppliers.
We have been confident with the market and have been extending our commitment with consistent investment in China. To quickly respond to customer requirements, we have established 25 sales offices nationwide with over 1500 employees serving the China market. We are convinced that the most valued asset in our company is our intellectual capital, our people, since our every success might not be possible without each team member’s contribution. The Complete Automation on The Move expo featured product exhibits, technical sessions and interactive labs showcasing Rockwell Automation’s full range of automation products and solutions. Those on exhibit included industry-leading integrated architecture solutions, world-leading Allen-Bradley drives, safety products, intelligent motor controls, OEM components, Compact Machine Solutions and OEMax.
In the afternoon, The Path to Plant-Wide Automation forum served as an ideal platform for communication on automation information in the manufacturing industry. Global industry leaders and strategic decision partners of Rockwell Automation shared best industry practices, made predictions for technological development, and discussed the latest industry hot topics. Nearly 60 media and over 100 key Chinese customers attended. Moreover, manufacturing leaders, experts and strategic decision makers gathered to exchange views on current industry trends and critical global issues. Participants learned how to achieve plant-wide automation to fast time to market, lower the total cost of ownership, develop better asset management strategies and improve risk management. Finally, a consensus was reached that China’s manufacturing industry would benefit greatly from better understanding of global manufacturing standards.
At the evening event, everyone witness the achievement that Rockwell Automation made in past decades. Tom O’Reilly stressed that no matter for Rockwell Automation or the industry, China is a very important market and is playing a key role in Asia and globe.
